Architectural Restoration & Reproduction

Skilled craftsmanship in the tradition of the Vermont Stoneworker—with great respect for the past and a mindful eye for the future.

Vermont’s varied and rich geology provides an excellent supply of stone materials such as marble, limestone, serpentine, slate, granite, and soapstone. In addition, Proctor Marble Co. has access to stone materials from all over the world depending on the needs of each individual job.

Hearst Castle Neptune Pool Restoration

"It is a master piece of design and a master piece of work" ~ Brent Wilson

Brent was tasked with replicating the concave fluted wall which served as a backdrop to the Venus Sculpture Group by French Sculptor Charles-George Cassou commissioned in 1927. The 14 1/2 foot wall consists of 27 curved fluted VT Verde Antique pieces angled to form the concave design. 4" curved Verde Antique Cap Stones were also fabricated to grace the design.
